AgriVenture - Different placement types
Agriculture

Livestock placements in Australia are usually associated with some type of machinery component; such as haymaking or cropping on large scale properties down to smaller holdings. Businesses include dairy, sheep, beef and pigs.

The warm climate allows most livestock to remain outdoors all year round, making enterprises such as dairy quite different compared to the northern hemisphere. These placements offer so much more than just milking cows!

Agricultural placements vary from average size properties to large scale and custom harvesting opportunities. Crops include wheat, barley, oats, canola, beans, lupins, just to name a few.
Horticulture

Horticulture placement opportunities are wide and varied and include possibilities in viticulture, nurseries, citrus, fruit, potplants and annuals. Accommodation will vary dependent on your placement, it will range from staying with a family to bunkhouse accommodation.
Agri-mix and Hort-mix

These placements offer a mixture of outside and inside work. Your function will be to help on the property and in the family home.
Equine

There are a small number of agricultural placements that have an element of horse work connected with them. Some equine placements are available within the equestrian and thoroughbred sectors.
